Reviews
The steak and shrimp were pretty good, but the steak was unevenly cooked. A good third of it was more medium well than medium rare. But the Waikiki mule was pretty good.
I thought this place was okay. The service was great and the atmosphere was also good. Who doesn't like to dine outside with a tropical Hawaiian breeze constantly going. However, the main point I focus on with restaurants is the food and my experience here was subpar. The truffle short rib dish was overly sweet and I was only able to finish it because I came here starving. Otherwise it would have been a very expensive dish to throw half of away. Whatever sweet sauce they have on it somehow managed to ruin the rest of the dish. The sailor's Paradise drink however, was a delight.
Food IS very good. Expensive and small portions but good. The 2 times we've been here, the greeters were not very friendly at first. The 2nd time, we were told inside sitting was for reservations only eventhough there was only 3 people in 1 table 🤔. The worst was my husband's chicken was very raw. He asked it be cooked a little more. They brought by a second dish and that one was a little less raw but still raw. We just cancelled that dinner plate. No discount was offered for waiting...
The atmosphere, well we're in HAWAII, it's always great here!
First night, friends came in and were able to get a reservation same day about an hour out. Choices were pasta, burgers and French onion soup and pineapple upside down for dessert. Soup was good. Pasta not much flavor. Burgers just ok for saying they are wagyu. Overcooked so a bit on the tough side. Pineapple cake was tasty but on the very very small side for what your paying but yes these are hotel prices. Nice place for the convenience if you don't want to leave the hotel or a short notice dinner
Eat here all the time. Love their salmon dinner. Excellent teriyaki honey sauce. Cooked perfectly. Goes great with their rice. Nice location. Good service too. Prices have gone up over the years
Great atmosphere and location
I only had the mud pie, but it was good
Cocktails were good as well.
This was the first restaurant we ate at on our visit to Hawaii. We enjoyed everything well enough, however, I have to say it was overpriced for what we got. I got a shrimp bowl and the quality of the shrimp was amazing with a sweet chili sauce that really added itself well to the bowl. My wife got the Lokomoko and she enjoyed it as well. We also got the crab cakes as an appetizer and they were very good, albeit a little small. Lastly, we got the mud pie for dessert and it was pulled straight from the freezer so it was hard as a rock, I wouldn't suggest getting dessert here if this is how they present them. Overall, we were satisfied with our dining experience here and I'm sure you will be too.
It has been a couple of years since our last visit to Biba’s and I was pleasantly surprised. The service was excellent although that could be due to the less than full restaurant.
We both selected the Macadamia nut encrusted red snapper with steamed vegetables and garlic mashed potatoes. The fish was cooked perfectly and the flavor excellent. The garlic mashed potatoes were delicious and smooth without being “gluey.” The steamed vegetables were also perfect and were neither over nor under done.
I plan to go back again before leaving the island.
